COVID-19 UPDATE – AUGUST 2021
As from July 19th and with the final lifting of all official Covid regulations and requirements, we are now pleased to be able to welcome everyone back to the village hall and very much look forward to seeing it return to its usual bustling hive of activity. However, given that Covid is still very much with us and will be for some considerable time to come, we ask that everyone continues to use the hall following the current advice laid down by the Government in order to keep both themselves and others safe.
The responsibility will now fall entirely on hirers to do their own risk assessment as regards maximum numbers and how they conduct their activities and all the equipment we have been providing up until now e.g. hand sanitisers, cleaning equipment, etc., will still remain available and the hall cleaned every day. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for any further information or advice you may need prior to booking your events or activities.
All Saints & district Village Hall pride ourselves in being one of the best value and most accessible halls in the district and welcome bookings from everyone, including people further afield.

All Saints Village Hall is a charity and Hall – serving the hamlets of All Saints, Alston, Churchill, Smallridge, Coaxdon, South Common and Waggs Plot, in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty of the Blackdown Hills, near Axminster, East Devon.
The Village Hall is a hive of activity and a central hub for community life.
Built with the help of local volunteers, our building was proudly opened in 1974 and is undoubtedly one of the cornerstones of our local community, where events of a wide-ranging nature take place almost every day. Locals can take advantage of our large car park, spacious interior including an offset bar area and separate large kitchen.
Regular customers include the village school, a local arts group, the Quilters, COGS ladies’ group, dog/puppy training groups and martial arts classes while also providing a regular rehearsal space for the All Saints Offbeats and The Three Counties Band.
We host the village show, All Saints Pantomime, the annual village Christmas concert, weddings, private parties for both old and young and Parish Council meetings throughout the year. In addition, we run our own fundraising events to ensure the Hall remains excellent value to hire for everyone in the community.
Our diverse range of customers and activities goes a long way to showing our flexibility as a venue while the Hall Trustees strive to further improve our facilities, the latest example being the introduction of a fully integrated audio-visual system and broadband Wi-Fi.
We strive to provide a welcoming, convenient and inviting space in the heart of our community for the enjoyment of local residents and the wider area at large.
Our Amenities & Facilities
The Hall is a single storey, accessible building benefiting from an informal (unlicensed) bar area, fully fitted ‘caterers’ kitchen, wifi and excellent AV facilities.
Seats approx 120 & excellent facilities
The Hall has an open, unobstructed layout that can seat up approximately 120 people (cinema style) for sit-down and 200 standing. We are hired regularly for education sessions, panto and community productions, quiz nights, fitness classes, private parties and weddings. We have a stage which can be extended.
We have central heating; new AV presentation facilities including big screen and sound system; plus tables, crockery and cutlery included with hire. We also host the community’s defibrillator in our car park.
We have a permanent bar / service area adjacent and open to the side of the main Hall.
This area can be used for a variety of purposes. Most events run a free bar, but a temporary licence can also be arranged for special events.
Our kitchen has a large gas cooker, a fridge, a microwave, a commercial dishwasher, a plumbed-in drinking water boiler, kettles, two sinks, one hand basin and a large caterer’s table for preparing and serving.
The kitchen can be used to serve hot and cold food directly to the Hall.
There is no extra charge for the use of the kitchen – which includes glasses, crockery for up to 150 people and a limited supply of cutlery.

"My children so enjoyed their party at All Saints! We will be back next year! "
"As regular users of the Hall the All Saints Panto Society can't speak highly enough of the support the dedicated group of volunteers gives to ensure hirers have everything they need to meet their needs."
