Welcome
All Saints & district Village Hall pride ourselves in being one of the best value and most accessible halls in the district and welcome bookings from everyone, including people further afield.
COVID-19 UPDATE - NOVEMBER 2020
Having been geared up to open at the beginning of November with all our covid-secure measures now in place, with the imposition of the latest lockdown our hall continues to remain closed to everyone apart from the school who are now allowed to use it again for their activities. With all the uncertainties at the moment, we are unable to say when we can start to accept bookings again although it is our hope that the New Year will provide greater clarity on the situation, either one way or the other. We will give further updates here as things progress into 2021 and look forward to welcoming everyone back as soon as practically possible.
All Saints Village Hall is a charity and Hall – serving the hamlets of All Saints, Alston, Churchill, Smallridge, Coaxdon, South Common and Waggs Plot, in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty of the Blackdown Hills, near Axminster, East Devon.
The Village Hall is a hive of activity and a central hub for community life.
Built with the help of local volunteers, our building was proudly opened in 1974 and is undoubtedly one of the cornerstones of our local community, where events of a wide-ranging nature take place almost every day. Locals can take advantage of our large car park, spacious interior including an offset bar area and separate large kitchen.
Regular customers include the village school, a local arts group, the Quilters, COGS ladies’ group, dog/puppy training groups and martial arts classes while also providing a regular rehearsal space for the All Saints Offbeats and The Three Counties Band.
We host the village show, All Saints Pantomime, the annual village Christmas concert, weddings, private parties for both old and young and Parish Council meetings throughout the year. In addition, we run our own fundraising events to ensure the Hall remains excellent value to hire for everyone in the community.
Our diverse range of customers and activities goes a long way to showing our flexibility as a venue while the Hall Trustees strive to further improve our facilities, the latest example being the introduction of a fully integrated audio-visual system and broadband Wi-Fi.
Our Ambition
We strive to provide a welcoming, convenient and inviting space in the heart of our community for the enjoyment of local residents and the wider area at large.
Our Amenities & Facilities
The Hall is a single storey, accessible building benefiting from an informal (unlicensed) bar area, fully fitted ‘caterers’ kitchen, wifi and excellent AV facilities.
We would be thrilled if you'd like to join us at any of our special fundraising or community events.
